Before drawing a single shutter we ask what has to go in: how many sarees, how many suitcases, whether there is a sewing machine, where the winter quilts live for ten months of the year. Internal layout drives the external design, never the other way round.

Sliding or openable?
- Sliding saves the ~600 mm of floor a shutter needs — the right call in a compact bedroom. You can only ever see half the wardrobe at once, and the track needs occasional cleaning.
- Openable is cheaper for the same finish, gives full access, and allows internal shelving right to the edges. It needs clear floor in front.
In most 2 and 3 BHK flats in Bhubaneswar we use openable in the master and sliding in the smaller bedroom.
